Day 8, January 25: Reconciling with all of creation: “So that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete” (John 15:11)
Prayer
Thrice-holy God, we thank you for having created and loved us. We thank you for your presence in us and in creation. May we learn to look upon the world as you look upon it, with love. In the hope of this vision, may we be able to work for a world where justice and peace flourish, for the glory of your name. Amen.

We are an urban parish of Pittsburgh’s East End dedicated to serving one another and the larger community, especially the poor and marginalized. Empowered by Jesus to spread the good news of salvation, we are committed to forming intentional disciples of every age and accompanying them in their faith journey, with the goal of fostering an encounter with and deepening their relationship to Jesus Christ.
We do this joyfully, rooted in the Eucharist and our Catholic faith, employing our diversity and talents to support one another and to build the Kingdom of God in love, mercy, and justice

We’re asking all parishioners of our Grouping, wherever we are, to pause at 12:00 Noon each day during Lent and offer the prayer below in silence. The Sacred Heart Elementary School community will also be praying with us, so think of the impact of all of our prayers offered to God together, at the same moment, for our family, our city, our nation, and the whole world in this troubled time.
SCAM ALERT!
Scammers are emailing and texting parishioners, claiming to be their pastor and asking for gift cards. If you receive an email or text from someone who claims to be your priest, asking for gift cards or money: Do not respond. Do not click on anything in the email. Anyone who has given money or gift cards in response to such a request should call the police. Your clergy will never make an urgent request for money or gift cards via email or text. If you wonder whether a parish request for giving is legitimate, call your parish office to ask.
